    You are in error. To this day, both side, often together, join in remembrance of the fallen and to honor their sacrifice and courage. Compare this to “civil” wars in other countries where the losers are eradicated or enslaved. Then there was the Reign of Terror in France (AKA, The New Islamic Republic).

    There were “deathcamps”, but they weren’t called that. I do quote the camp of Andersonville. Soldiers in both sides complained that their captors killed more in the camps than those men did on the field.
