After the final defeat of the Japanese empire in 1945 the Korean Peninsula was jointly occupied by the United States, in ther south, and the Soviet Union in the north.
While the korean peninsula was supposed to be unified, the soviets propped up a communist regime in the north under the leadership of general Kim Il Sung, the Democratic people’s Republic of Korea.
In the meantime the USA sponsored the creation of a pro-west Republic of Korea, led by President Singman Rhee in the south.
In June 1950 the DPRK launched a surprise invasion of South Korea and the korean War was on.
Lasting until the cease-fire of July 1953, it pitted the communist alliance of China and North Korea against the forces of the United Nations.

Recently I’ve discovered a damaged 78rpm record from early 1950s (circa 1952), which was made by Military Public Information Services of Korea(Korean; 대한민국 국방부정훈국), during the Korean War.
It contains a well-known propaganda song called “Song of The Korean War” (Literally translated as “Song of June 25th(The date Korean War was started)”, Korean; “6.25의 노래”), sung by Korean Tenor Sang-Choon Lee(Korean; 이상춘) and Soprano Cheon-Aae Kim(Korean; 김천애).
The Song is no more than a simple, intolerant propaganda - treating North Koreans as “Pitiless Enemies” (But what do you expect during the War?). Anyway, I made a music video, using Archive footages of Korean War.
The record was played on my HMV 102 portable. Although the record is damaged - two severe cracks on the surface - I played this on acoustic machine since the playback has less surface noise.
Let Us Hope this tragedy will not be repeated again, and Peace come to Korea and Koreans.

This gun is ridiculously overpowered. Seriously it feels like it takes a split-second to kill someone. Stupidly high rate of fire, practically no recoil and good damage this thing rapes anything in it’s path, prison style. Also has a scope for long range, you can counter-snipe a P.S.G user with this easily.
